Where's the Church?

“In Germany, the Nazis first came for the communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I didn’t speak up because I was a protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak for me.” This is the appeal given by Martin Niemoller, Pastor of a Confessing Church in Berlin Germany who was sentenced to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp by Hitler himself.I am very alarmed at the silence of the Church in this hour in history. Is it apathy, pursuit of personal piece or ignorance of Her role in the culture that is paralyzing Her? Have we confined ourselves to the gospel of me-ism, not knowing that God wants the nations evangelized? Have we defined evangelism down to just addressing repentance in light of personal and individual sins without recognizing or emphasizing national and cultural sins? The most alarming issue on the table is President Barak Obama and his foot soldiers in the main stream media branding the most decent, law abiding citizens as racists and terrorists. Those who adhere to the Christian based and God inspired Constitution of theUnited Statesare being branded as evil, and this can’t be further from the truth. Where is the Church? At the end of all the Tea Party and Conservative bashing is the condemnation of Christians since Christian ideas largely define these groups. At the end of the trail of conservative thought are ideas that are uniquely Judeo/Christian.

What is going on with this current government is flat out evil. Therefore I’m making a sincere and heartfelt appeal to my Christian brothers to take another look at their positions on issues and their political affiliations and measure them against the Word of God. Pastors who understand the issues have an obligation to not let their flock wander in ignorance. Remember the Word of God says, “My people perish from lack of knowledge.” The bible also encourages believers to pray that God would heal our land as well as our sin sick souls and broken bodies. We need to define what a healed land looks like in the natural. We can’t be afraid of dividing congregations in exchange for certain death. Does your Church know what socialism is? Does the Church know that socialism is categorically and diametrically opposed to the Word of God? This is not a rebuke but rather an attempt to jar our spiritual senses. I say these things because the left is coming after us and ultimately, no one will be excluded.

This current administration is engaged in uprooting everything that is Christian in theUnited States. Now they are aggressively laying the foundation to isolate Christians, Jews and all who claims to be conservative. The lie that is echoed is that these groups are racist, homophobes and hate mongers. While they scream that the conservatives are trying to destroy the country, they are writing polices in favor of that very thing. While they scream “foul” on the part of the conservatives, they are actually engaged in writing policies and passing laws in favor of gay marriage, homosexual sensitivity training for preschoolers, amnesty for illegals and unsustainable confiscatory taxes. They are through legislation kickingAmerica’s moral foundations out from underneath her.

Where is the Church that possesses the weapons that are able to destroy speculations and every lofty thing that rises up against the knowledge of God? Where is the Church that takes every thought captive to the obedience of Christ?

Where is the voice of the Church in the public square when politicians practice class warfare on its citizens dividing us by race, sex, and income for the purpose of controlling us all?

Where is the voice of the Church to speak up for protective rights for the likes of the Tea Party crowd, Christians, Jews and the rich along with all law abiding citizens? God is no respecter of persons and He certainly does not discriminate.

Evil is to be confronted wherever it rears its ugly head whether it’s in our personal lives or within our culture!

It’s time for the Church to speak up while it still can. When the Church is vocal the world listens.

Who’s going to speak up?

Quotes
"In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people." - Noah Webster
