Call To Action!!
Christians and freedom lovers of Springfield,
On September 8, 2014 (next Monday) the Springfield City Council will present a bill known as SOGI (Sexual orientation and Gender Identity).
Where this type of ordinance has passed, litigation against Christians has followed.
I am asking you to request your pastors make an announcement this Sunday in regards to attending this important meeting. Numbers are important, and they do matter. We need at least 1,000 Christians to attend. We need to petition this council to abandon this divisive law.
This is serious! This ordinance will:
- Criminalize what Christian businessmen and landlords can do with regards to hiring and renting.
- Subject Christian businessmen to be summoned to hearings by the Mayors Commission on Human Rights, which is a radical leftist leaning board of appointees. This commission is unelected and not accountable to the voters.
- Christian businessmen will be subject to fines and jail time if there is a conviction.
